Trivia Time!
G1 is a mess. A wonderful little mess. There's so much there that the cartoon doesn't fully explain or doesn't bother to at all. Well this (WIP) Trivia page is full of fun little things you can't pick up on or might of missed from the cartoon.
Ark Location and Mt St Hilary
First on our list. The Ark Location of G1. The mysterious desert like area in which the Ark is located is not really explained in the cartoon. However in many continuities they place it 50 miles away from Portland, Oregon.
Which that itself leads into the origins of the volcano. Though not existing in the actual USA, Mt St Hilary is fact may of been based on real life Washinton State's volcano Mt St Helens. Which oddly one would think Mt Hood if they are familiar enough with the states. But the location and placing of Mt St Hilary is strangely very close to Helens'.

PERSONALITY: Though brave to a fault and heart strong to match. Bumblebee despite all his bravado is a self conscious mess. He's small, the weakest physically and because of that will often push himself past his limitations and into injury if he has to to keep up with the others. He's always eager to prove himself. To the enemy, to his peers, and to himself especially. Beneath the job though and you'll find a childish and fun loving Autobot who just wants to be liked.
Bumblebee is though at his core a friendly mech. A bit of a wise cracker, Bumblebee does what he can to keep friendly to newer people and other mechs. Bullied by some of his peers, Bumblebee might mistake some of the larger mechs like of him as condescension and become bemused. He takes criticism from others harshly and will buckle down and work even harder to keep himself liked.
Bumblebee also has a special fondness for humans and possibly other small organic life. Feeling a sort of kinship with them. Being extra kind and caring for them.
Even with all the fun loving, childish and good nature. Bumblebee is still a young mech at war. He's snarkier and barkier with the enemy. And his wise cracks get so much worse. Yet even so, Bumblebee won't attack first. He takes time to assess the situation. Goad on the other maybe. Supposed friend and foe alike. But he can be won over if he thinks banding together is more likely to get progress made.
Bumblebee having crashed on Earth is actually rather pleased to meet with people smaller then himself. Coming from a world of Titans and Colossi robots, Bee is pretty small and bullied by some of even his friends and peers. Which only fuels himself into becoming a better soldier.
Bumblebee is inexperienced young soldier. But he's seen enough of the war to not let himself become too naive. Overly eager to prove himself is one thing. Pure ignorance to the state of this war is another. Even still, he keeps his childish demeanor close to himself as much as he can. Perhaps its how he copes.
Bumblebee's greatest weakness is taking on challenges much bigger then he can handle. Often leading him to be bailed out by comrades. Which only worsens his self esteem.
ABILITIES: Bumblebee is often considered a scout, though his real profession is that of espionage. And though small for a Transformer/Cybertronian, being up there around 2 and half meters tall, Bumblebee is the most fuel efficient. Allowing him to last twice as long as some of his larger peers and fellow Autobots. He is also built for underwater missions.
Being a Transformer also couples Bumblebee with these:
Transforming: Bumblebee can shift between two forms. Robot Mode, his default state sometimes called the root mode, and vehicle mode where he takes on the form of a small round car. Though he'll just call it an Earth car, one can discern that its a Volkswagen Beetle
Weapon: Bumblebee is often found paired with his Energon Battle Pistol
Subspace: A dimensional pocket which stores extra mass of a Transformer and often a holding space for extra items that can not be held in person at all times.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS
VISUAL: Bumblebee is 8-13 feet. Under 3 Meters. A beautiful bright yellow paint, with a white plated face and black underneath the armor. He has horns atop his helmet and bright blue optics.
AURAL: Being as large and mechanical its surprising as how stealthy and silent he can be. If you are up close you and put your ears to his chest piece you can hear the faintest hum of his spark.
OLFACTORY: He doesn't have any distinctive smell.
DEMEANOUR: Often stands straight. Friendly exterior towards neutrals and allies, if not abit playful or snarky with some more then others.

Basics
Bumblebee is the smallest and weakest Autobot, but he's quick to make up for it with heart. He's quick to make friends and allies out of anyone. Could he make one out of an enemy? Who's to say. While friendly to his allies, he tends to be snarky and barky with the enemy.
Though skilled at stealth and scouting, Bumblebee aspires to have the admiration of his peers and especially his superiors. So in his quest to prove himself will often set himself up for more dangerous missions to make up for his size and strength. All things he is self conscious of.
When putting himself in harms way Bumblebee will become embarrassed and hole up once he ends up needing someone to bail him out. As it only reminds him of his short comings. And though his team treat him kindly it is not without some bullying incidents. Or for the fact that Bumblebee, due to some of the bullying. Thinks everyone is condescending him or as a human may put it, infantizing him.
While Bumblebee tackles the teasing as if it won't bother him, or figuring out who actually is sincere with their praise. He still cares deeply about his peers. Even those that are less then kind about his limitation as a Minibot.
